Chhath is not only a Pooja it’s a devotional emotion. The uniqueness of this festival is that we worship both the rising and setting sun. We at Kalypso celebrated it in the open area next to KT11.
The piousness of this festival lies in all 4 days of events with Thekua Prasad and seasonal fruits offered to Chhathi Maiya. We were very delighted and obliged to see our 12-15 families celebrating with us. Chhath is an ancient Hindu festival, native to Bihar and Eastern Uttar Pradesh. It is celebrated to worship the sun God and his sister Shashti Devi also known Chhati Maiya and thank them for bestowing all the happiness upon them. A special prasad of Thekua is made.
