Kabadiwala Malpractice Caught Red-handed

A strap picker, kabadiwala, was caught in Q block fiddling with the weight on his measuring scale through a remote in his pocket. Fortunately the vigilant resident using the vendor caught him red-handed and called the QRT to take action. The kabadiwala was however carrying the entry pass issued by DLF security firm as verified vendor. The process of issuing entry pass for kabadiwala was started few years ago primarily to stop this malpractice when many similar cases had come to light.  We would urge the security company SRG group to validate the vendor with police verification and issue a non-transferable monthly or quarterly pass rather than a yearly one. It seems the process needs a better checks and measures to make it foolproof.
