Sapna Sehrawat experienced an incident where a ragpicker arrived at her residence to collect old unwanted items especifically a chair she wanted to sell. He broke the leg of the chair while inspecting it. Shortly after, another ragpicker from his eam came in an auto rickshaw and then two more ragpickers arrived on motorcycles, seemingly just to take a look at the chair. This raised security concerns for Sapna, as the presence of multiple ragpickers around her house felt unsettling. When she called the Quick Response Team (QRT) for assistance, they did not provide the support she expected. Instead, they helped the ragpickers leave the site quickly, which added to her distress. Earlier a few ragpickers had been assigned to enter the colony but now a lot more are seen roaming around the colony. Having valid ID proofs or a letter of approval from security head office will help residents feel safe while dealing with the ragpickers.
