The British-era laws have been replaced by Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita & Bharatiya Sakshya Adhi-niyam 2023 have come into force from 1 July 2024. With the overhaul of the Colonial Era criminal code, an “Indian soul” has been added to the justice system. The country now has a completely ‘swadeshi’ legal system. Also, in this regard, President Rahul Chandola, RWA HBRC in DLF Phase 1 Gurgaon had a meeting on 1 July 2024 with ACP DLF Vikas Kaushik, SHO DLF Phase 1 Gurgaon Sunil Kumar & Chowki in-charge Gwal Pahari Balram Singh to understand the implications & changes in the sections of the law. They also met other RWA officials. ACP DLF Vikas Kaushik & SHO DLF Phase 1 Gurgaon updated the residents about the changes in the laws and sections. It was a very interesting and interactive session called by DLF Phase 1 Police Station led by ACP DLF.
