On June 21 2, International Yoga Day time 6 Am, the resident of Prateek Wisteria came alive with the spirit of wellness and joined a vibrant Yog Day celebration led by Yog Guru – the author of this write-up. The event saw enthusiastic participation from residents of all age groups.
The lush green lawns of the society provided the perfect backdrop for the morning session, where residents gathered with yoga mats, ready to embrace the ancient practice. I started the session with the sound of the Universe, warmed up, and followed the Yoga protocols, Surya Namaskar with Mantra recitation, Shavasan and simple Pranayam. My effort was to give clear instructions and an encouraging demeanor to make it easy for beginners to follow; along while also trying to provide a challenging situation for the more experienced practitioners to make them do even better. The key message of the event centred on the holistic benefits of yoga, emphasizing physical fitness, mental peace, and spiritual growth. I also shared the importance of integrating yoga into daily life to combat stress and improve overall well-being – highlighting how regular practice can lead to a more balanced and fulfilling life.
The Resident Welfare Association (RWA) of Prateek Wisteria played a crucial role in organizing the event smoothly. Their support was evident in planning and the provision of amenities such as mats, refreshments, and a sound system.
