The Silver Estate Society celebrated Diwali Mela on Saturday 19 October with great enthusiasm. The event took place on the society’s main lawn, beautifully adorned with festive lights, adding to the lively atmosphere. A wide variety of food stalls offered delicious and affordable options, including favorites like gol gappa, chaat papdi, aloo tikki, pav bhaji, chole bhature, palak pakora, jalebi, rabri and kulfi.
Among the highlights was a stall set up by our society gardener showcasing an array of indoor and outdoor plants, with a special emphasis on bonsai plants contributed by one of the society residents, which drew considerable attention. In addition, a few outside vendors set up stalls that exhibited silver and gold jewelry, as well as a collection of vibrant bedsheets.
The event attracted a good turnout of residents, making it a memorable gathering. Tambola game added a lively touch, and the evening concluded with a delightful musical program performed by society residents. Such celebrations not only enrich the festive spirit but also provide an opportunity for residents, both new and long-standing, to connect, fostering unity and harmony within the community.
Earlier, on the evening of Saturday 05 October, Silver Estate danced to the garba beats with tremendous excitement. The Garba event saw active participation from many residents, both ladies and gentlemen, who joined in the festivities with great joy and unity. The celebration began with a traditional aarti dedicated to Mata Durga, setting a spiritual and festive tone for the evening.
Ladies adorned traditional attire, adding elegance and grace to the atmosphere, while the men participated with equal zeal, showcasing the lively spirit of the community. The evening concluded with a delicious feast featuring chole-bhature, which added to the delight of the participants and made the celebration truly memorable.
