From the desk of Ladies Club 15A
The Ladies Club 15A has entered a new era under the capable leadership of Mrs. Anita Jaswal, who, along with her small yet dedicated team of Mrs Aruna Jain, Mrs Sumedha Jain, & Mrs Anjali Goyal, has infused fresh energy into its activities.
Their inaugural event, held on 26th September 2024, began on a high note, with the theme “Health is Wealth.” The event opened by honoring the outgoing committee, led by Mrs. Neeta Dogra, for their contributions.
In perfect harmony with the celebration of Hindi Diwas, which is marked annually in September, the event began with a tribute to the Hindi language. Mrs. Shivani Chaturvedi, known for her extensive knowledge of Hindi, delivered an insightful talk on the language’s continued relevance in modern India. Her eloquent speech added depth and meaning to the session, reminding everyone of the rich heritage and unifying power of Hindi.
The next speaker, Mrs. Shubhra Anand, a recent resident of the SDF community and a seasoned yoga trainer, shared her expertise on holistic healing through yoga. With a distinguished background that includes training athletes for the World Masters Olympics, Mrs. Anand highlighted the physical, mental, and spiritual benefits of yoga practice. Her talk resonated deeply with the audience, offering a refreshing perspective on achieving overall well-being.
The star of the afternoon was our own Dr. Anju Malik, a highly respected pediatrician and family physician within our sector. With numerous medical accolades to her name, Dr. Malik has earned the trust and respect of her fellow residents. Her talk focused on the essential theme of “Health is Wealth,” offering valuable insights on safeguarding against both seasonal and chronic illnesses. She emphasized the importance of preventive hea-lthcare for all age groups—children, the elderly, and the young adults alike.
The event wasn’t solely an exchange of informative talks. Mrs. Neelum Mahajan lightened the atmosphere with her brilliant sense of humor, proving once again that laughter truly is the best medicine! Her witty anecdotes and sharp humor had everyone in fits of laughter, leaving the room energized and joyful.
The session’s theme, skillfully organized by Mrs. Anita Jaswal and Mrs. Anjali Goyal, was executed with grace and professionalism.
In all, it was an afternoon filled with socializing, networking, and empowerment. The event concluded with a lavish lunch, where everyone indulged in a delightful spread, leaving with both their minds and hearts nourished.
