Janmashtami is certainly not just a day that marks the birth of Shri Krishna but also the time when a strong desire of devotion is displayed by performing Bal Leela’s and dances on songs based on Shri Krishna.
We also prepared “Baal Leela” where lots of kids participated and displayed their devotion for “Maakan chor lalla”. This time we were lucky, we got to celebrate twice with kids. They got the privilege to celebrate Janmashtami at JCO club along with other colony kids during their cultural evening where people came in large numbers and enjoyed themselves.
Many children had participated performing on Bal Leela’s, individual performances with songs and dances and the fashion show were the most awaited part of the whole show followed by participation certificates distribution. Our thanks to Vijay Bhardwaj and Praveen Gupta for offering them this chance and Seema Kandhari and Aanchal Agarwal for anchoring the show so enthusiastically.
The club was beautifully decorated and everything was wonderfully arranged. Everybody left in great spirits.
Note from Vijay Bhardwaj (President JCO club A block):
Once again, RWA expresses its gratitude to all residents for participating in children’s cultural show along with their families. A special mention maybe made for Praveen Gupta, Charulata Aggarwal, Seema Kandhari, Aanchal Agarwal, Mandeep Singh, Chinky Singh and my entire EC for closing ranks and making this event so memorable.
We repeated the same next day in PND park where kids performed the same for the delight of our regular walkers who love to stop by our class to see these kids at play. Mothers of these children had prepared a variety of parsaad and danced on various Krishna songs. I would also like to thank Mansi Brar who came to teach dance steps to kids and Ayushi Pasari who very kindly donated 40 umbrellas and stationary kits to these kids. Ayushi just walked in during one of our rehearsals when it suddenly started raining, drenching us all and she then and there decided and insisted to give umbrellas to kids.
Thats what Shri Krishna taught – karma yoga
Act selflessly and let go off the results.
