Janmastmi was celebrated in Maxblis White House society central park for the first time. JanamAshtmi festival is celebrated as birthday of Lord Krishna. This festival is celebrated all over the world with full faith.
A professional bhajan kirtan team was invited to sing but the residents participated with equal fervour. A very melodious bhajan was sung by Swati Chauhan ( F 202)
The Kirtan Mandali conducted the programme in a very efficient manner with their music system. A good number of residents attended the event. The children were also seen enjoying the bhajans which is heartening since they imbibe our culture this way. Many jhankis of Lord Krishna were organised and a beautiful dance was organized by the team. The dance was so mesmerizing that everyone felt transported to Vrindavan. Finally Dahi handi was broken by youngsters and children together. Prasad was distributed at the end.
I thank all organizing teams, including ladies and children of our society for their active coordination and participation. I also would like to thank our society management , teams for assisting in programme, for providing all lighting and decoration of the venue.
