The birthday of Lord Krishna, Janmashtami, was celebrated with pomp and show mixed with complete devotion on 6th September at W1 park. Whole the park was decorated with flowers and the stage where Jhoola of Laddoo Gopal and images of other Gods and Goddesses were kept was also decorated beautifully with streaks of flowers and lights.This time WECA invited professional singers for Kirtan. They sang melodious bhajans related to lord Krishna. After the bhajans, two artists, dressed as Krishna and Radha presented their dance performance which mesmerised everybody.
Some cute kids in a getup of Krishna and Radha were running around and very attractively dancing. After Aarti Prasad was distributed. After six days lord Krishna’s chatthi was also celebrated but on Zoom.
