On August 26, 2024, Janmashtami, commonly known as the Janm Utsav of Lord Krishna, was celebrated with great pomp and show at the temple premises of Royal Towers. The main feature of the celebration was a jhanki depicting major events related to Lord Krishna’s birth in karagar (jail). Solo and group dances were presented by the society’s children. The main attraction of the show was small kids dressed in traditional attire, depicting Bal Krishna and Radha. Some of the children also recited mantras from the Gita.
A Bhajan Sandhya was organized by the society’s nari shakti until midnight, the time of Lord Krishna’s birth. After the birth of Lord Krishna, cake cutting and puja aarti were performed. The celebration ended with the distribution of prasadam.
Society members of all age groups participated in this celebration with great enthusiasm.
