B3 RWA had the privilege to be a part of “Jan Bharat Rang,” a nation-wide initiative to celebrate the 25th Anniversary of Bharat Rang Mahotsav 2024 by National School of Drama and Ministry of Culture, Govt. of India that aspired to mark the largest ever collective live performance by a theatre institution worldwide by bringing together 2000 Performing Arts Groups across the nation, all simultaneously performing a piece with three common themes, ‘Viksit Bharat, ‘Panch Pran, and ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam, showcasing India’s rich cultural diversity on 21 Feb at 4:00 pm.
B3 Vasant Kunj was one of the thousands of locations in the country as its RWA stepped up to organize and host the “Jan Bharat Rang” in the resplendent Gazebo Park with a Dance Theatre Performance on the theme ‘Panch Pran’ by the Indian Revival Group (IRG), Choreographed and Directed by acclaimed personalities in field of performing arts, Shashidharan Nair and Papiha Desai, daughter of Freedom Fighter, Founder of IRG (1948) and National Awardee Late Yog Sunder Desai Ji who was a resident of B3 and in commemoration of his 100th Anniversary, B3 RWA hosted this event with the active support of Gandhian Seva & Satyagraha Brigade (GSSB) that reflected India’s vision for inclusive progress and global harmony.
Dr GS Yadava, Advisor B3 RWA, delivered the opening remarks about the event calling it a milestone achievement for the RWA to host a national cultural program followed by a splendid and enthralling performance by the artists of ‘Indian Revival Group’ which was relayed live over the social media. Dr Sowesh Pattanaik, Secy (Admn), in his vote of thanks expressed his heartfelt thanks to the NSD for giving the opportunity to hold this prestigious program and for being a host to the diverse enthusiastic audience that attended it, and also to Sh Nair and Ms Desai and their artists, who were felicitated by Bimlesh Yadav and Manju Yadav.
