Sri Krishna Janmashtami was celebrated with pomp and show at Wellington by WECA on 26thAugust. W 1A park was decorated with light and flowers. On a stage, idols of Sri Krishna and Radha were placed. A beautiful and well-decorated jhoola was also displayed in which Laddoo Gopal rested. There was another stage also for the performers who sang and danced. WECA had invited a bhajan Mandali, and the program started at 7.30 pm. Some children had dressed up as Krishna and Radha. The program went on till 10 pm after which Aarti Prasad was distributed to all.
