Summer is going away. There is a change in the air with some respite from heat. Winter is approaching. The change is welcome as summer is almost colourless.
You hardly see any flowers due to extreme heat & dry weather.
Now is the time to plant & sow our beautiful flowers. Winter is going to be different as we are going to add varieties of flowers in our garden. We have already planted different varieties of chrysanthemum in the flowerbeds prepared in the ITKT Complex.
We are also going to sow at least 20 or more varieties of winter flowers. One will see chrysanthemum blooming from late November onwards, followed by many varieties of annuals like dahlias, marigolds & others.
This is possible due to support from a few residents who have contributed to generate funds. We are also grateful to Dr HS Gupta who got an expert on floriculture & landscaping from Pusa Institute to advise us.
This year, it is also planned to have a separate flower corner where residents will be allowed to pluck a few flowers, not more than five, for puja.
