On Sunday, 29 September, residents of ITKT gathered in the lawns to discuss the pressing issue of the dog menace affecting the community. The meeting was well-attended, reflecting the concern shared by many. Residents shared experiences of encounters with aggressive dogs and emphasized the need for improved safety protocols. Suggestions were made to organize community awareness campaigns focused on responsible pet ownership and the importance of spaying/ neutering. The attendees proposed to collaborate with authorities to find humane solutions. A proposal for regular monitoring of stray dog populations was put forth, aiming to ensure the safety and well-being of both residents and animals. The gathering fostered a spirit of cooperation, with many residents volunteering to participate in future initiatives. Residents participated and contributed to a constructive dialogue. The progress will be tracked by the committee formed.
