International Yoga Day Observed in the Mahavirji Temple

The Manager of the temple Neelkanth Sharma roped in Yoga Guru, Rakshit to usher in the International Yoga Day, celebrated each year on the 21st June. The Yoga Guru along with one of his pupils, Shushma Khatwani conducted a session from 6 to 6.30 am, in the main lawns of the temple. The participants were made to do simple yogasanas. A light breakfast, which was meant to be served at 6.30 am, arrived at 7am, by which time most of the participants had dispersed. For the first time, the mandir authorities organised an event without the active support of the local residents. There were only 20 attendees.
