International Yoga Day Celebrations at Emerald Court

International Yoga Day was celebrated in Supertech Emerald Court at Central lawn on 21 June with great enthusiasm and zeal at our society. The function started with a melodious song by a group of young ladies. The Yoga Guru of our society, Jagmohan Garg, welcomed the participants and audience and aptly summarised that “Yoga is a process in which performer brings his mind, body and soul together. Even if a person is very busy, he should take out some time to practice Yoga as it helps him to work more effectively and efficiently.”

Anil Sachhar, Vice President of our Society, delivered the keynote address on behalf of the Resident Welfare Association. He told his own experience of practicing Yoga and stated that he has been experiencing immense benefits in his personal life since he started practicing Yoga. He exhorted all the residents, who had gathered in large numbers to make Yoga their daily routine.

Kids of the society demonstrated various poses of Yoga and also made beautiful formations. The parents of the kids watched them unbelievingly and appreciated the efforts of Madhu Meeta and other volunteers in coaching them.

Young-at-heart Ladies group of the society, 19 in numbers at a single stage, demonstrated fusion of Yoga with dance. Their cohesiveness, unity and Taal-Mel were treat to the eyes of the audience who applauded for long in appreciation of their performance.

Our Yoga Guru took a Yoga class consisting of participants of 3 generations of our society, to remind the audience that Yoga can be easily practiced by anyone of any age.

RWA gave medals to all the kids who had participated in Yoga as an appreciation to their efforts. J.M. Garg concluded the function by giving vote of thanks to all those involved in the celebration directly or indirectly. RWA had made nice arrangement of snacks and tea, which was relished by all.

Most of the participants and audience posed for the photographs and captured memories of the day in the lovely green lawns of the society.
