“Begin your journey to a better life with good health and peaceful mind”. Yoga, a gift from India’s ancient traditions, embodies the harmony between mind and body, fostering unity with nature and promoting holistic well-being.
On Friday, 21 June, our Sports Field transformed into a haven of tranquillity and vitality as residents gathered to commemorate the International Yoga Day (IYD). Organized by WTSS, the event aimed to celebrate this practice and to raise awareness about its myriad benefits for the mind, body, and soul.
The morning commenced with participation from Yoga practitioners, eager to experience its transformative power. Guided by instructors including Air Cmdre Nrip Kumar Mehta, Ms. Babita and Ms. Vipula, attendees embarked on an hour’s journey of rejuvenation through various asanas, pranayama, and a soul-soothing prayer session.
The IYD celebration exemplified this ethos, providing an experience that resonated with all attendees. The participants were served refreshing treats such as bananas, packaged lassi, and buttermilk.
We would like to extend gratitude to Mr SP Gupta from Yoga Vigyan and Manav Kalyan Trust for his dedication in conducting free classes over the past three years, further enriching the community’s commitment to health and wellness.
As we reflect on this event, let us continue to spread awareness about the manifold benefits of Yoga, nurturing our bodies and spirits, and embracing the gift of well-being for ourselves and our community.
Let every day be a celebration of health, harmony, and inner peace through Yoga. JAI HIND!!!
