International Yoga Day Celebration

Healthy mind, Healthy body, Healthy lifestyle; 3 important requirements for today’s busy and stressful times.  How to achieve these or balance them?

Simply by doing yoga. Yoga helps us mprove our physical health through different postures, improving our flexibility and strength, mental health through meditation and improving our stress levels. Thus helps us in maintaining or stabilizing our hectic life.

21st June is celebrated as international yoga day and it’s celebrated with great enthusiasm by people of all ages. We too celebrated international yoga day in Lt Puneet Nath Dutt park though unfortunately our celebration was postponed by a day due to unexpected rain but it didn’t spoil our enthusiasm or spirit and we all enjoyed ourselves thoroughly.

Our yoga gurus Aman and Anit from yoga fettle journey C block and their team have been constantly coming and doing yoga for kids and they did it so well again on yoga day. Our event was made special by the sponsors – Senco Jewelers from South ext and some friends Puja Chaudhary, Pappan and Rajiv Gujral,by providing refreshments for all.

Kids loved doing yoga and the relaxation was evident on their faces while trying to do different asans and what was so joyful was that even the elderly and many passersby came to join us and even tried doing yoga with kids. Our very own Defcol jammers friend Vivek Vaid added charm to the entire event with his enthusiastic endearment, making the whole event so fun filled and enjoyable.  International yoga day or any other day, yoga should be made a daily practice to enjoy a healthy lifestyle.
