There are three primary ways to use CCTV systems, industry experts say: as a deterrent, for forensic purposes and as an interactive device.
Keeping in view the needs and requirements, the Executive Committee of ARWA Sec-A Pocket C headed by the President, Prateek Pathak has embarked on a drive to install 40 CCTV Cameras covering the Security Gates-both entry and exit, residential areas, parking areas, Colony market areas and the Mehrauli boundary walls.
CCTV footage would be monitored by way of the system being set up in the ARWA office where there would be a provision of the DVR (Digital Video Recorder) through which the video footage would be stored for one month.
It is expected that the installation work with respect to the CCTV cameras would be completed by the end of January ’23.
These CCTV Cameras would act as deterrent and also be useful for crime prevention, evidence collection, monitoring the people such as delivery persons and others who enter the Colony, or accidents that may occur on the properties and so on.
