This Independence Day, Carltonites have a lot to look forward to. The cultural committee along with CECA, have been successful in making Independence Day, a day to remember but in voking patriotism through various activities aimed to please both and kids alike.
This year the plans haven’t changed, but instead have gotten better. Each year the theme of Independence Day is – For Carlton by Carlton, which means right from food stalls to the entertainment, everything will be done by Carlton residents.
Starting with Food stalls- Residents will explore their cooking talents and are encouraged to put up a food stall to sell their handmade goodies, an effort made to bring out our closeted chefs! Music will be performed by Carlton’s very own Tansens and Nightingales along with a few games for both kids and adults alike. “The idea is to bring each resident closer and also to encourage the hidden talents that are in abundance at Carlton.” Mentioned one of the cultural team members. The day will begin with the very pleasing march past done by the security team on the grounds along with Flag hoisting.
Princeton Estate never stays behind on such an occasion and the residents of all ages are looking forward to the grand celebration in Princeton as well.
The preparation, the excitement of participation in the team celebration in the condominium grounds, the anecdotes of seniors who had seen the pre-independent days are quite on the row and the energised residents are eagerly planning for the celebration chartered by the condominium. Few programs involving Princeton kids are on the go and we are eagerly awaiting them.
