India celebrated its 77th Independence Day on Aug 15. On this day in 1947, India became a free nation after more than two centuries of British colonial rule.
The Colony residents celebrated the Independence Day by hoisting the national flag, organising cultural activities and adorning the colony in tricolour-ornaments/facades and decorations, wearing tricolour-themed clothes, watching patriotic movies, listening to songs related to India’s history and freedom struggle, and more.
Provided here are some photographs of the various events to celebrate the Independence Day organized by the RWAs of Sector A, Pockets B & C as well as Sectors D-3 and 4.
More than two hundred children participated and exhibited their skills quite enthusiastically in various fields on the occasion of the Independence Day celebrations in the Sectors as above.
Thus, in many ways the citizens-old and young celebrated Independence Day together and expressed their patriotism and love for the country.
