The Patriotic Fervour, the Walkathon, the Performances & the Food Buffet by the RWA (92)
The early morning of the D Day; the young and the old, the children and the ladies; everyone joined together in a Walkathon with enthusiasm and zeal. It was a march of freedom commemorating the Independence Day of a proud nation Bharat.
Dressed in white and tri- colour, Tiranga flag in their hands, they walked in every lane of the sector with slogan of “Vande Mataram” , remembering the freedom fighters who fought for the freedom and gave their lives for the cause.
The flag hoisting was the moment of great delight which ignites the feeling of bravery, peace and unity. Tiranga gives us an inspiration to work for our country, and do something good for it. We feel so proud by looking at where our country is now and what its future may be.
The children dressed in all whites with national flag colours coordinated presented a picturesque scene inciting national integration feeling. The little ones mesmerised everyone with their performances, be it singing national song, playing flute or reciting poetry.
The children drew, painted and sketched in national themes which were beautifully done and submitted with great enthusiasm.
The celebrations are incomplete without the food and sweets. The buffet of food was laid for the residents to relish – all thanks to RWA sector 92. Everyone enjoyed hot chola bhatura, savouries, hot masala tea and sweet jalebi, after an early morning walk and celebrations.
The residents went back with a sense of pride and happiness after celebrating the big day with fellow residents.
