The 77th Independence Day celebrations took place in Eldeco Utopia in front of the clubhouse. Tricolor flags, balloons and buntings were used to decorate the area around the clubhouse to create a patriotic atmosphere.
The program began with the flag hoisting ceremony by AURA President Sh. Devendra Mishra followed by the national anthem. The AURA President then addressed the residents, followed by the much anticipated cultural program.
The program started with a beautiful rendition of Vande Mataram by Seema Parag Gupta and Rajlakshmi. Asmi, Seemaji’s daughter danced to the song. Dances and a skit by talented children of Utopia followed.
A visually impaired boy Pradip Jyoti Gogoi sang the famous ‘ Jahan daal daal pe sone ki chidiya’.The melodious rendition of the song and Pradip’s spirit got a big round of applause from the audience.
