We at Panchshila Montessori School celebrated the 76th Independence Day with many activities to make the children aware of the importance of this day for all of us, Indians. The School was decorated with Tri-colour balloons and Doves that represent Peace, Freedom and Love.
Children came dressed in colors to represent the Indian National Flag. Our Principal, Sujata Sundarsan, Vice-Principal, Radhika Kumar and the teachers along with the little ones hoisted the National Flag and sang the National Anthem.
Children sang and danced to the different patriotic songs. They enjoyed making a Tri-Colour kite craft. Other Montessori activities related to the tri-colours included mixing primary colours to make Orange and Green, matching and pairing of colour tablets –Orange, White and Green, and Making the Tri -colour Salad.
The celebration filled the whole ambience with festivity and patriotism.
