Independence Day was observed at the Maharani Bagh Community Centre with the children of the Colony taking the initiative to enthusiastically hoist the flag this year. On the occasion, Brig Ravinder K. Mehta, a veteran of the Army, spoke a few words and saluted the flag in the true spirit of a soldier of the Indian Armed Forces. Many seniors were seen at the ceremony too. The event was followed by refreshments and was hosted by the Maharani Bagh Co-operative House Building & Welfare Society (MB CHB & WS).
