This year’s Independence Day celebration will be held at the Community Centre in the morning of August 15, the circular arrived on August 10th, by the General Secretary of the SLRWA, this month. Later, on the auspicious day itself Deepak Verma, the president of the SLRWA, addressed the residents with greetings and warm wishes and reminded them about their responsibilities too, towards society. His initiative to take a pledge to contribute towards the society by reducing waste, conserving water, and supporting green activities, to preserve the environment, is commendable. His interest in preserving greens showed in his efforts to plant more trees on Independence Day as well.
Bodhraj Sikri had been invited to grace the occasion, he gave an encouraging speech, the other dignitaries spoke as well, and the president gave a full description of his job and their sincere efforts in making the Sushant Lok a better place in their capacity. Many residents had come to celebrate the spirit of the 78th Independence Day, and the children’s participation made it a colourful panorama, with the distribution of sweets, the celebration was concluded. May this harmony and the spirit of joy remain burning in our hearts, for centuries to come!
