On August 15, this year India celebrated its 77th Independence Day.
On this occasion there was a wonderful celebration at AGV-1 , amphitheater premises which was beautifully decorated with balloons and tricolour flags.
The children along with their parents assembled at the venue. Senior citizens and other residents actively participated in the event with great enthusiasm. At the beginning of the program, security guards marched-passed along the children around the society chanting’Vande mataram’ and arrived at the flag hoisting area. Then flag hoisting commenced and everyone sang the national anthem. Before starting the culture program the security guards, gardeners and society cleaners were awarded with memento in appreciation for their dedicated service throughout the year.
Cultural program followed where children participated in colourful dresses and performed various activities like, solo and group dance with patriotic songs. Apart from this, ladies also participated in group dance . The children were duly awarded for their nice performances.
Program ended with distribution of snacks and sweets. The residents enjoyed the program thoroughly.
