“Independence Day” Celebrated In NFC with Full Vigor

NFC RWA (Ashoka Park) has been celebrating ‘Independence Day’ every year with its residents. The day of 15th August 2023 witnessed the presence of many residents with friends (adorning the place in tricolour-ornaments, wearing tricolour-themed clothes), who participated in the ‘flag hoisting ceremony’ followed by the National Anthem and a chorus of patriotic songs, and finally, recital of a poem authored by our very own senior resident Madhu Aggarwal (B-382 NFC). To continue, light refreshments were served with residents enjoying their pallets and making merry, chit chatting/catching-up, collecting their flags from the desk. As our ‘triclour flag’ fluttered in the breeze and echoes of the National Anthem reverberated through the air, Independence Day became more than a date on the calendar – it became a symphony of remembrance, a tribute to the sacrifice, and a celebration of unity!! It seemed that residents wished for the celebrations to continue till end of day, and every day !

(ii) At the New Friends Club

The management team at the Club celebrated ‘Independence Day’ at the Club. Invitation for participation was sent to members via messages, email etc. Many members along with family celebrated the 77th Independence Day, and joined each other in spreading the essence of patriotism. The spirit of unity was evident from the attire of all present. There were many who wore tricolour-themed clothes, irrespective of their age. The atmosphere was as if all had brushes in their hands with which everyone present was painting the club and the city with slogans that made our hearts swell with pride!!

At both events, hosted by the NFC RWA (Ashoka Park) and New Friends Club, the management committee made their residents/members aware that the theme for this year’s celebration is “Nation First, Always First” as a part of the wider “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav” celebration.
