Amrapali Eden Park (AEP) celebrated a vibrant 78th Independence Day. The celebration started with Art and Swimming competition. The Art competition was organized by Mrs. Raina (A-1002) on 11 August for kids of 4 age groups with different themes for each group. The kids of all age groups participated and made amazing drawings of the National Flag, My India and Independence Day celebration. Ayansh, Navya, Livya Agarwal, Aanshi Agarwal, Sia Chandra, Shaurya Kansal, Devika and Diviya Gupta won in their categories in Art competition.
The Swimming competition was organised earlier, on 12 July, for three age groups. Nimisha Sharna, Ansh Mishra, Kartikeya Verma, Harsha Vardhan and Antara Shukla won in their categories.
On 15 August, the celebration started at 9 am with Flag Hoisting followed by AOA President, A. K. Naurial’s, speech; Sunil Jain (D-1302) and Sharmila Tandon (A-003) co-hosted the program. The members of Eden Park Cultural Committee (Kusum Khandelwal, Preeti, Pragya, Ruchi, Raina, Lata, Rachna, Sharmila etc.) sung “Aye mere pyare watan” song.
We honoured our Class 10 and Class 12 students for their exceptional performance in exams. For Class 10, Sejal Jain, Tia Dawessar, Aarna Batta, Samraat Sinha, Gatik Ahuja and Rohan Valecha; and for Class 12, Janhavi Tandon and Abhiraj Singh were given mementos for their academic excellence. Snacks and tea were served to the audience.
The patriotism of the kids and residents was in full swing in the cultural performances. The cultural performances included citations of Param Veer Chakra Vijetas, poem recitation, dance, musical / keyboard etc. from all age groups.
Our horticulture head, D. K. Srivastava (A-1604), shared green positive energy by distributing 130+ Tulsi / Basil saplings from our society garden.
S. P. Gaur (D-303), A. K. Naurial (A-102), Anil Srivastava (C-505), Mrs. Pushpa (A-703), Rita Mohanty (A-702), Rajesh Porwal (D-804), Shailender Mahajan (D-601) and Vijender Sharma (D-1803) sponsored whole-heartedly for the prize distribution. In a first, we felicitated 90+ participants and awards winners. We also honoured our security and maintenance staff.
It was a joyous celebration with sweat of patriotism amid sunshine and rain.
In another event, eves of Eden Park organized Teez celebration on 27 July in Eden Park club house. The celebration witnessed awesome dance performances, songs, yummy snacks and games including Tambola.
