Grand Celebrations of Janmashtami: The Mandir committee’s coordinator Sushil Bagga and his team organized a grand function of Sri Krishan Janmashtami in style by organizing various events related to this auspicious occasion of the birth of Lord Krishna. The festivities started much before the day with the decoration of lights and flowers done at entrances and also inside the temple which was recently renovated. The residents of Defence colony started visiting the temple in big numbers as the activities like Bhajan Sandhya, Sri Krishan Janam katha, Sri Krishana aarti, prasadum and Sri Krishna Leela were organized in the most attractive manner. The main attraction this time was the “Kanha play on the life of Sri Krishna” which was done by the children of Defence colony. It was really nice to see so many little little Krishna and Radhas around us in the most attractive dresses performing the story of Sri Krishna. The Mandir committee presented certificates and gifts to all the children to keep them motivated and charged for such future programs. Shailesh Nagpal and his group presented Krishna bhajans followed by bhajans by Harsh Dhingra. The footfall was amazing and broke all the previous records. The arrangements were made in such a systematic way to ensure smooth darshan to all. The residents were seen visiting the temple with their family and friends for 2-3 times in these two days of festivities.
Navratri: Now Radha Krishan mandir is getting ready for the Navratri and Deepawali in the coming month to ensure that the residents of Defence colony enjoy all the festivals in the colony itself in a safe environment.
Daily Aarti: The morning and evening aartis are getting popular in the colony as more and more people are seen visiting the temple to participate and enjoy the aartis followed by prasada to everyone.
