How safe is DLF-2? A question that crosses my mind quite often these days. With the rise in thefts happening around, the trust on security weakens.
A strange theft happened in L 24 a home with 3 dogs. The thieves managed to open the balcony glass gate, ransacked the room and took away all the expensive wine bottles and some electronics. It could be an insiders job as they knew exactly which room to enter from. The family of four present on lower ground floor at the same time but they didn’t hear anything.
An FIR has been filed and all the concerned authorities in DLF have been informed but there is no update on the thieves or the lost stuff.
Another incident happened few days back where Monkeys stole the Otipy baskets from outside the main gate. The whole delivery order was stolen. Monkey menace is all together another issue which needs to be tackled.
A Milk basket delivery was stolen from outside L – 11 as well. The CCTV camera recorded the whole incident where it was seen how confidently the thief came took the whole order and left. Thieves aren’t scared of cameras also, have a look at the video of the theft.
Another shocking episode happened where a maid who was working for years at this house started stealing cash, she had easy access to the almirahs and eventually INR 90,000/- was found missing. A formal complaint has also been registered and her picture is also being shared for safety purposes.
Theft in DLF-2 don’t just stop here. People have now started picking plants from outside the houses too.
Such incidents coming to light are creating a scare among the residents. Necessary precautions must be taken by all. Everyone needs to be mindful while talking in front of the staff and the delivery boys. You never know who tips the burglars or are they the burglars.
So It is rightly said “Apni surksha apne hath”.
