The cases of early morning and day time thefts have slightly taken an upside route in the colony. In an incident in B block, robbers entered a retired Judge’s office and stole 2 laptops early morning at 4 am. The thief tried to break in the main house but seeing the alarm system installed went into the basement office. In the second incident in C block two persons impersonating as MCD workers entered the drive way and tried to steal the copper wires of the Air Conditioner. The house help heard the saw which they were using and screamed. Hearing the commotion, the two persons ran towards the ring road and were chased by the next-door guard. Patrolling is taking place in the colony both by police as well as the guards and lots of times guards have nabbed drug addicts doing petty thefts and handed over to the police. But we residents have to look after our safety by installing CCTVs at our residences. Keep gates closed, and report of any suspicious activity to the RWA helpline no +91 85954 99348, which is a 24 /7 helpline. Lastly be the eyes for your neighbour. These small initiatives will help in keeping our colony a little safe.
