A new multi vocational skill training center has been set up at Arya Samaj, Vasant Vihar with the support of TATA, Rotary Club Delhi South, and other corporates.
The training center will empower young people in skill-based jobs for better job opportunities and higher emoluments.
As part of the joint initiative, Arya Samaj, Vasant Vihar and Rotary Club of Delhi South will engage reputed training organizations and corporate houses via public-private partnerships to support the training on specific skills. An advanced course in mental health has been scheduled to be conducted from 1st June to 30th June under the supervision of Prof. Nand Kumar from the department of Psychiatry at AIIMS with thirty participants.
“We are delighted to be part of this initiative,” said Santosh Kapur, president, Arya Samaj, Vasant Vihar. “Our goal is to empower young people with the skills they need to succeed in life. We believe that this new skill training center will play a key role in achieving that goal. We are also glad to announce the first batch in partnership with AIIMS on Mental Health, “she added.
The training center was inaugurated by Tejender Khanna, former Lt. Governor of Delhi on 22 May 2024. Tejender Khanna went around the training center and made a few suggestions for improvement.
