The inauguration function of the newly renovated Hut no. 2 (near Antriksh Apptts) in Meghdutam Park was held at 7 am on Tuesday, 23 May. In presence the residents, 50F ‘Parivar’, the designated hut was inaugurated by Dr D Sharma, President, Sector 50F Block RWAs Welfare Association. The event was conducted by Rajesh Singh, General Secretary Welfare Association.
With the efforts of Dr Sharma, the Noida Authority had taken over the renovation of the hut which included redoing and extending the floor area, fitting of lights, fans, electric sockets for public address-system, extending of roofing and grilled fencing all around with an entrance gate. The outer green area around the hut will be beautified to make it conducive to hold meetings – of RWA Federation, NOFAA, Senior Citizen Forum, Ladies Club and other groups.
The enthusiasm was high when the ribbon was cut; the attendees entered the hut and settled themselves in the benches placed in rows inside the hut.
Rajesh Singh welcomed all and requested prominent persons to share their thoughts on this occasion. All were in praise of Dr Sharma for the development work in the park from time to time. Those who spoke were – Rajiva Singh, Dr Rajesh Sahay, Sanjeev Kumar, Mahender Singh and VK Katiyar.
A vote of thanks was given by Dr Sharma. He was happy to express the bonding of all societies of F-block, Sector 50. Meghdutam Park was the place where goodwill and community feeling has grown and developed over nearly a decade since the park came up, he said. He mentioned people who have come forward; and with them he has been able to get much work done. There was mention of the Club, which is going to be ready in a few months. Next in line is the plan of taking up with NA to develop the plot next to the Club for outdoor games.
The day’s event culminated with a variety of fresh hot pakoras, along with tea, and the joyous conversation among the residents.
