(Councillor) inaugurated the Badminton Court
On the evening of 11th June, 2024. RWA Executives from various Hauz Khas RWAs were present along with some residents and officials from various MCD Departments and BSES. Executives of HK RWAs welcomed the MLA and Councillor with garlands.
Hauz Khas RWAs United has been pursuing various developmental needs of Hauz Khas for some years now. One of them was the need for a volleyball / badminton court in the park. Residents felt bad when children played these games in the park with makeshift arrangements.
Eventually our MLA managed to allocate funds for building a few badminton courts in our ward. Continuous persistence of HK RWAs United made sure Hauz Khas did not miss this opportunity.
At the inauguration Somnath Bharti reiterated his and Kamal Bhardwaj’s commitment to keep working towards the betterment of Hauz Khas by always being available at ground level.
Thereafter, on behalf of Hauz Khas RWAs United, Manoranjan Singh listed some other long pending developmental needs of Hauz Khas. Bharti ji immediately instructed the MCD officials for action / follow up on these. M. Singh then listed 14 major works that have been completed and thanked our MLA and Councillor for the same.
The function was concluded with a vote of thanks from RWA Executive, Rajiv Sarin who had also very kindly arranged for refreshments.
