On Sunday, 5 November, IT1 residents came together to celebrate a heartwarming Parivar Milan in the enchanting setting of their lush lawns. The occasion not only marked the joyous onset of Diwali but also provided a unique opportunity for the community to unite and get to know each other.
The credit for the meticulously organized event goes to the residents themselves. One call on the group and most agreed happily. A few couples held various meetings, thought upon an amount to be collected and then immersed themselves wholly to create a memorable evening.
As the clock struck 7 PM, the lawn was transformed into a magical realm with dazzling decorations and twinkling lights. To facilitate interaction, each resident was provided with a sticker bearing their first name, making it easier to indulge in conversations.
Festivities kicked off with electrifying DJ beats which had everyone on their feet. The event also witnessed performances by young talent.
The highlight was the Antakshri competition between men and women. It was skilfully hosted by Somya, Seema and Anwer. It was a sight to behold as everyone joined in and loads of noise was created.
Then came a couple dance competition which added lots of elegance and charm to the evening.
Food played an important part with an array of delectable vegetarian and non-vegetarian snacks followed by a gala dinner. Special care was taken to cater to diverse dietary preferences.
The warmth, love and appreciation shared among residents was palpable throughout the evening. The bonding that developed during Parivar Milan is sure to elevate IT1 to new heights.
In conclusion, this Diwali Milan was not just an event but a celebration of unity, diversity and festive spirit that binds the IT1 family together.
We will be looking forward to more such celebrations.
