On 30th sep afternoon a resident noticed that in the back lane of 41-44 Anand Lok there was a staff toilet being built by one of the houses , where the main door to the toilet is from the common back lane and is facing another house main gate.
The resident accepted that staff toilets are good to build but they should be kept contained in one’s own compound. The resident then brought it to the notice of the local policeman and made a complaint to the civic authority, hoping that some action would be taken.
But then the workers started plastering fast so as to finish it. Despite being cautioned the work carried on and there was no concern about unauthorized construction in the back lane of the colony. In a pretty colony like Anand Lok, next to Tikonia park, there is a staff toilet facing towards the back lane (which will naturally smell).
As you see the labour is finishing the toilet post haste. Pot has been installed. All this could not be stopped with all the might of MCD and police. Would this give a free run for illegal constructions in the colony? Point worth considering!
