I Know it’s Spring When.. 

I know it’s spring when,
The flowers start blooming happily,
The mynahs start chirping in the morning
to wake me,
The sun starts shining bright early.

I know it’s spring when,
There is no gloom,
The wind gets warmer,
The kids are on their best behaviour to get
a good report card.

I know it’s spring when,
The shopkeepers start selling gulaal and
water balloons,
The workers have started to clean the pool,
The days are longer and the nights are
shorter.

I know it’s spring when,
The children play downstairs till late,
I switch the fan on,
I start wearing half-sleeves T-shirt.

I know it’s spring when,
It starts getting hotter,
I start drinking lemonade
I know it’s spring when..
