Arunima Shrivastava, a resident, a feature writer and artist by profession, did her PhD in Organizational Behavior, IIT Bombay. As an artists she loves to paint across different mediums like oil, acrylics and watercolours.
Arunima is currently working as a freelance feature writer and enjoys writing about Human Resources, Organizational Development and leadership for some of the leading publications. “In my spare time, I like to strum the Guitar and read books with my two adorable boys,” she says.
“My work is nuanced by a range of inspirations, that include human figures, portraits and ancient sculptures of India. I love to work with details and believe that these finer details make my work interesting and poised.”
On asking her about the artists that inspire her, she replied “ Every artist is unique and has my respect but I draw huge inspiration from the works of great artists like Raja Ravi Verma, Amrita Shergill and Jamini Roy in India and Rembrandt, Van Gogh, Frida Kahlo and Daniel Gerhartz outside India”
She has participated India Art Festival, Delhi Chapter 2020 and keeps participating in other art events conducted by galleries in Gurugram and Delhi. She has sold her work pan India and also shipped some of her work to the US and Australia Where does she see herself 5 years from now? She says “I want to move out of my comfort zones to explore new forms of art. And I have this dream to work alongside little kids who are passionate about art but cannot afford it that easily!”
