I-Day Celebrations At The Ivy

This month, Ivy celebrated India’s 77th Independence Day, with apt patriotism and gaiety. The resident turnout was smaller than usual, owing to the long weekend, but the fervour of the tiny tots and their parents made up for the absence of others. 

Aditya Arya, of Museo fame, was the guest of honour for the flag hoisting, followed by some fun games for the kids and a South Indian brunch, to wind up the afternoon. A few enterprising kids got together and put up a bake sale on the occasion and used the proceeds to buy rations for the local staff. Heartwarming to see them spare, more than a thought for the underprivileged on this day.
