Community Bonding Program
On 2 July, SDF samiti hosted a community bonding program ’Hum Saath Saath Hain’. The mood was definitely sombre as a very senior and respected member of SDF 15A, Pam Malhotra, had passed away few days before but as it is said the show must go on.
SDF President Dr Anupma Bhardwaj announced the campaign exchange, donate and gift a plant in memory of Pam Malhotra. A beautiful plant was gifted to the Samiti by Sharad Malhotra, son of Pam Malhotra.
Dr Anupma Bhardwaj recited a lovely poem in remembrance of Pam aunty. She requested everyone to follow Pam aunty’s passion for greenery and donate a gift and exchange a plant instead of buying gifts. All in all, it was a beautiful evening with friends, neighbours, lots of laughter and games of Tambola. Young SDF residents Aadya and Veer were all happy excited to help with the Tambola. The programme was sponsored by brand Lakshita and the Club also cooperated in the event. RWA Committee members Vandana Shukla, Rajesh Khanna and Ghanshyam Gupta also graced the occasion. Several residents were heard saying that we should have more of this kind of get-together and bonding events. Vice-President Kavita Kharbanda promised them that more such programmes would be held in the future.
Anupma’s House to House Meeting Campaign! As part of her commitment to Senior Citizens, she has made a sub-committee which includes herself and Neeraj Deewan. They go house to house and meet senior citizens in their homes and spend quality time with them. Anupma has invited all the residents to join them in this campaign. She said this one-to-one meet has opened a totally new world to her where she is getting to know the senior residents very closely.
Plant Donation by Rupanjali Sekia! Rupanjali Sekia (SDF 52B) gifted several plants to SDF Samiti for the campaign. The gift was in memory of Pam Malhotra. President Anupma Bhardwaj thanked her. Sharad Malhotra (son of Pam) was also present.
