How to Beat Entrance Exam Blues

Between bidding goodbye to School and starting a wonderful phase of life called College, stands a rather stressful period of entrance exams. With the CUET exam around the corner, along with multiple other entrance tests, Suncity teens have been quite busy. Having gone through this exact phase about 2 years ago, I am well acquainted with all that goes on in this period. So, through this article, I bring to our readers some tips that may help with some much-needed stress relief for the teens of Suncity.

Preparation

Most exams will have a section on Aptitude which will include Quantitative reasoning, Logical reasoning, Language (mostly English) and General knowledge. This can only be mastered through regular practice, so make sure you’re clear with all concepts and keep solving more and more questions. For CUET domain subjects, NCERT books will come to your rescue so keep reading and revising them. Use memory cards, sticky notes and active recalling practices to learn and remember well. Try teaching concepts to someone else, so you retain them better!

Stress Management

Meditation and exercise are what will keep you calm and prevent burnout. While stress is inevitable, you can lessen it by routinely engaging in activities that you enjoy and connecting with supportive and optimistic people. Last, but not the least, be sure to stay hydrated. Water intake often takes a backseat during this busy phase, but in this weather, you cannot afford that!

In the end, it will all be worth it!

With a plethora of information available on the internet, choose one or two trusted sources to get the latest updates from, to avoid confusion. Be sure to fill your exam form patiently and properly to avoid last-minute hassle. On the day of the exam, be sure to carry your admit card and other requirements to enter your exam centre smoothly.

The next few weeks will be hectic, but crucial. In the end, through hardwork and determination, when you get into your dream college, it will all be worth it.
