On 30 January 2010, we embarked on a journey with a simple yet powerful vision — launching ‘Books for All’ with a single library in a primary school in Gejha, Noida. Fast forward to today, and we have grown into an NGO with six impactful missions — a journey that feels nothing short of incredible.
As I sifted through thousands of photos to prepare for my keynote address, I was reminded of the many milestones we have achieved. Our growth has been organic, fuelled by passionate volunteers and unwavering support from corporates alongside educational institutions.
Staying volunteer-driven helped us keep overheads low — no rented office, no office staff for years — ensuring that every penny went toward children’s welfare.
Our 15 years anniversary celebration, on this 30 January, was a heart-warming gathering of staff, volunteers, donors and well-wishers, joined by school in charges and training institute heads. The energy was infectious — children’s performances, CPR demonstrations by paramedical students and a nostalgic photo journey through our early struggles made the event truly special. Old-timers got emotional, and what was meant to be a three-hour event stretched well beyond lunch, filled with laughter, memories and renewed commitment to our cause.
Thank you to everyone who has been part of this journey. Here’s to continuing our mission and creating a brighter future for many more children!
