Like many other things, air has been one of the necessities that we have taken for granted but not anymore. We all as inhabitants of planet Earth have witnessed the deteriorating air around us thus affecting our quality of life adversely. Recently once again the Air Quality has suffered severe deterioration. Suncity residents are coping with the worsening air quality in various ways.
Deepti Minocha (F 41), a corporate professional working for Amex shared that even though she has been feeling a little discomfort in her throat due to high AQI, she continues to prioritise her walk in the morning as she goes to the office in the afternoon. She also added that if the worsening air quality causes any more discomfort she will take a pause then.
Vikram Jeet Singh Banga, Director Sales for Essics F 34 resident, prefers not to bother about the bad air quality as for him his morning jogging is one of the most important activities of the day and he does not want to compromise on that but for the kids they had to alter the routine. His kids now visit the park once in two days Or so to minimize exposure to the polluted air. He also shared that he feels the parks in Suncity are so full of greenery that he thinks he is better off running and jogging here and the trees contribute to reducing air pollution.
Suncity residents are affected by the degrading air quality and are taking precautions accordingly by wearing masks, reducing the frequency of their walks and some have decided to take a break from the walks for a while till the air quality improves.
