One of the office bearers (Mr. Asif Kamal), of NFC RWA (Ashoka Park), received a call from a resident of A 2XX, sharing her distress, on loosing her pet, due to rash and negligent driving, by another resident, of the same lane. She was extremely distraught, at the attitude of the car driver, who did not even stop, to apologize or offer to take the injured pet, to the veterinarian. She could not believe, that her pet, who was like a child to her, had left her.
The resident, obviously raised a question, in respect of all residents adhering to the unwritten rules and regulations of exercising ‘community values’ and ‘neighbour-hood care’. Whilst trying to be strong and deal with the unfortunate situation, she enquired about the admissible speed limits, within the colony lanes. Wish one could really help with that, but then there are no certified, prescribed ‘speed limits’. All residents must realize and understand, that speed limits, within the colony, are bare minimal, to ensure safety, for residents, as well as others, viz., pets and even strays. After all, even the pets and strays are living beings !!
Mr. Kamal, was informed, that a similar episode, happened in Block B of NFC, about 6 months ago. NFC RWA, urges all its residents, to please please be careful and instruct youngsters and chauffeurs, to drive carefully, and be mindful of the existence of others, to ensure safety, for all.
