A Residents’ DLF 2 Club, a dream we all hoped to see decades ago has been in repetitive demand from the residents to the colony developers DLF Estate Ltd. While many residents in the early 2000s became members of DLF’s 1st City club in Phase 4, a large majority remains deprived of this promised amenity in the colony. The assurance for a similar club facility within DLF Phase 2 for its residents still remains undelivered while DLF-3 and DLF-5 got theirs many years ago. Our RWA teams over the last decade have raised the demand to DLF for the facility in various forums. Just in July RWA had submitted a letter to DLF stressing on the need for this much-required facility with all recreational infrastructure.
In August, earlier this year, a large signature campaign was started with the initiative of Morning walkers, Naari Shakti and Lets Play groups under the guidance of Mr. Vipin Yadav. This resulted in 6000+ door to door signatures from residents and many meetings were initiated to take this up further with top management at DLF.
In early Oct, Vipin along with Manish Yadav, a DLF 2 resident and State Executive Member, BJP Haryana, met with Devinder Singh CEO DLF Pvt Ltd.
As a result, Team DLF assured the residents’ group to bring the dream of the club to a reality. Mr. Singh of DLF has already initiated a detailed project report and planning from his team. Hopefully, in the near future, we may see the abandoned project revive and turn into one of the finest clubs with the best amenities available.
