September meeting was very special as we were honouring our teachers. The meeting started with introduction about tTeachers’ Day and a meaningful poem recital on ‘books’ by Suman. I also recited a small self written poem on ‘ lekhni’ i. e. pen.
Few members presented a naughty class room scene. It was wonderful to see our ladies dressed up as school kids. And to everyone’s surprise, they were behaving also like small kids. Though it was hilarious , there was some serious knowledge also in the class room.
Vividha acknowledged the contribution of our great teachers in the formation of our future and nation building. We honoured our members, who are retired teachers, with roses. The teachers Janak Bhatia, Indira Kochhar, Mala sinha and Priyanka Nagi shared their wonderful experiences and thoughts with us.
There were soulful bhajans as we also celebrated Shree Krishna Janmashtami. While Madhu Mittal talked about the significance of Janmashtami , Mala Sinha enlightened everyone with symbols attached with Krishna. Taani ji , in her own unique way, presented a scene of Krishna Janmashtami singing.
The meeting this month was a mixture of masti and divinity. There was hot South Indian food with jal jeera and rasgullas. Next month we shall be celebrating navratras and Dussehra for which our members are quite excited.
