To combat the growing concern of noise pollution caused by excessive honking in the city, the Pallav Green Foundation, in collaboration with students from Vasant Public School, launched a ‘No Honking’ campaign in and around the central market of Vasant Kunj. Around 18 enthusiastic students participated in the campaign, which was aimed at educating drivers about the detrimental effects of unnecessary honking, including road rage, accidents, and hearing problems.
During the campaign, members of the organization actively engaged with drivers, urging them to refrain from unnecessary honking and encouraging them to embrace a more peaceful and sustainable urban environment. To further amplify the message, all passersby and drivers were provided with “No Honking” stickers to display on their vehicles, constantly reminding them of the campaign’s objective.
This initiative highlights the importance of community involvement in addressing environmental concerns and encourages a collective effort toward creating a quieter and more harmonious urban environment.
The Pallav Green Foundation invites all like-minded individuals who want to bring change and create a more livable environment.”
