On Sunday, 24 March evening,our AOA, in association with the Cultural Committee, organised a fun – filled event with residents coming forward with their poetry and modern satire – based proses.
A few new faces like Dr. Amit, as well as people known for their humorous zest like Roopaji and Sanjay Jain ji, participated with full enthusiasm and filled the air with a lot of laughter,fun and frolic.
Colour and fragrance was added by the Vaishnavi group performance under Ranjana Ma’am’s guidance – ‘Holi Raas” which included Barsane Ki Lathmaar Holi special & Brij Ki Phoolon Ki Holi with Radha – Krishna various forms.
The‘Raas’mesmerised the residents with its 40 minutes drama musical,gulal props and flower showering. Almost 50 participants (including children and mothers) were part of this special programme that was staged in the amphitheatre in the central lawns behind T16.
Around the auspicious timing of 10 PM, as per Hindu ritual, Holika Dehan was done with the lighting of the bonfire that was prepared for the Choti Holi rituals especially.Women had circumambulated it and prayed around it as per their family rituals since morning.
Choti Holi ended beautifully with flower showering and people smearing symbolic gulal on their near and dear ones, promising them to smear more fiercely the next day,i.e., on Holi, the ‘rang’ day!
